Getting Credit for Your Courses
Getting Credit for Your Courses
Who reports your hours depends on the license. COEA reports to DBPR for you. For ICC, ASFPM and most engineering hours, you submit them yourself. Here is what to do for each.
At a glance
| Board | Who reports | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| DBPR BCAIB, CILB and ECLB | COEA reports for you | COEA reports your completion to DBPR within 30 days of the course (sooner near renewal deadlines). |
| ICC ICC certifications | You report it yourself | COEA is an ICC Preferred Provider, but ICC currently requires certificate holders to submit their own CEUs. |
| ASFPM Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) | You report it yourself | CFMs submit their own continuing education credits (CECs) to ASFPM. |
| FBPE Professional Engineers (PE) | Mostly you | COEA reports the Florida Laws and Rules course to FBPE. You report all your other hours yourself through NCEES CPC Tracking. |
| BOAID Registered Architects (AR) | You keep the proof | DBPR does not require providers to report architect CE electronically. Architects keep their certificates for audit. AIA members can also check their AIA transcript. |
